We aren't quite sure where the weeks have gone but here we are in the last week of half term already! In the last week we spent lots of time looking at harvest and preparing ourselves for the harvest festival. We learnt the story of the Little Red Hen and added our own actions, we performed this up at the church. We also made our own bread rolls and in our maths lessons we have been looking at the names of 2D shapes and trying to think of ways to help us remember the trickier ones, such as hexagon having a x in it, like the word six. In our phonics lessons we have now learnt the sounds s, a, t, p and i. We have been practising how to blend our sounds to help us read words using these sounds. A fantastic start to the school year Acorns, well done!
