It’s great to be back! "Where Does Snow Go" is our topic this term. Acorns started their time back at school with a walk to the woods where they explored seasonal changes. They enjoyed it very much, especially the hot chocolate served after the walk
We have been learning about different aspects of winter time and talking about winter clothes.  The Acorns then created their own shopping list. We have also enjoyed learning about the Inuit people and their way of life. This week’s activities then included building an igloo and writing fact sheets about snow, ice and the Inuit.
In maths we started working with addition, slowly introducing children to different mathematical problems.
We had a very important assembly where Mrs McBurnie introduced 6 school values. We will be focusing on Respect and Kindness this half term. I am very proud to say that Acorns are all trying really hard to implement those values in their everyday school life.
