This week the children in Acorns have been learning about traditional stories, comparing their homes to castles and learning about Queen Elizabeth II. They loved dressing up and pretending that they are the 12 dancing princesses while creating ‘majestic’ music using a selection of musical instruments. They have performed the Dragon dance so well that Mrs Chesse had no other option but to join in!
In maths they have been learning all about symmetrical patterns. They have created their own shields and analysed the symmetry of their faces. They absolutely loved looking at their pictures and enjoyed the task. We have also introduced our Christmas play and started learning the first songs.
