This was the final week of our 'Why is water wet?' topic, we continued with their exploration of using the gutters and developed our understanding of how heavier things moved faster. We worked out how to catch the falling water and worked together as a team to achieve this. We looked at poetry and rhyming words in literacy and continued with our daily phonics lessons too. In maths we focused on 3D shapes, learning the names for them and starting to look at some properties of the shapes. We have also been looking at the different types of weather and finding out more about thunderstorms and lightning. On the computers we worked in pairs to make our own story book about a storm, adding pictures and writing. Finally we have continued to develop our listening skills when children have been sharing their special day objects. We all enjoyed making giant bubbles as part of a transition activity with Oaks this morning. Pictures will be added to the website soon.
