This week we started our new topic called 'How does that building stay up?' as part of this topic we have begun to build an igloo made from milk bottles. So far we have the first two layers down and the children have already started investigating how we can make it strong and how we will build the entrance to the igloo. Outside this week the children have been busy constructing lots of different buildings and we have looked at buildings around the world. We finished learning all of our phase 2 sounds this week learning, f,ff, l, ll and b. Next week we will be consolidating our knowledge of these sounds and practising blending and segmenting with them. In maths lessons we continued to find out about measuring, we looked at how we can measure weight and capacity. In our music lessons we have been practising the songs for our Christmas play and we have also been playing instruments to some of the songs. Next week we will be busy baking again ready for the Christmas Bazaar, we really enjoyed doing this last time.
