The weeks are flying past and the Acorns have now fully settled into their school days, even though we may be getting quite tired now! This week we have been looking at words that rhyme and we have been trying to blend and segment some simple words with the help of Robbie the Robot. We have also been practising our listening skills by identifying which animal from the zoo is in a box, we have really enjoyed playing this game!  In our maths lessons we have been ordering numbers, spotting the missing number and we have been learning the days of the week. We have been using our positional language too talking about where something is, we enjoyed hiding Rolo (our class monkey teddy) and having to explain where he was using our positional language, we had to sit on our hands or we kept pointing though! We went for a trip up to the church at the start of the week, Mr Malleson one of our school governors came with us and answered lots of our questions, we got to look around the church and Mr Malleson even made the bell ring for us. We took our own photographs and we have made our own stained glass windows at school. We are looking forward to going up there again next week for the Harvest service.
