Friday 8th July

posted 10 Jul 2016, 02:49 by Deputy Head
Here we are with only one full week left of the school year, luckily the weather has improved slightly and the children have enjoyed spending more time outside exploring in the sun. We have been reading and retelling the Hare and the Tortoise story and next week the children will be able to act it out using masks. In maths we have been practising recording our number sentences and we have introduced jumping on and back on a number line to help us solve problems. We have continued to consolidate our phonics by writing independent sentences using a range of our sounds and reading more of our common words. In PE we have been practising for sports day and we have been super busy on the laptops making certificates for people/pets who help us at home, we shared these in our whole school sharing assembly on Friday. Next week will see us go on our whole school trip to Whipsnade zoo, have our final transition afternoon and visit church on Friday for our leaver's assembly. We are looking forward to this very busy week!
