A few reminders…

There is the expectation that children read every day (and that Reading Records are signed as evidence).

Well done to the children who consistently meet this expectation. Reading, even for just 10 minutes every day, will have a huge positive impact on your child’s literacy development.

We are trialling a website called Times Table Rockstars to support the learning and fluency of times tables. Children complete the paper quiz frequently in school to track their progress and can access the online activities from home.

Weekly spellings are stuck in your child’s reading record. These should be practised regularly at home. In addition, children should write each of the words in a sentence as a homework task. Children scoring less than half marks will be retested on a Friday.
