Recently children in Cedars have been learning to tell the time - a tricky concept which requires a lot of practice.
Children in year 3 are expected to be able to: · Tell and write the time from an analogue clock (to the nearest minute). · Have an understanding of 12-hour and 24-hour clocks. · Record and compare time in terms of seconds, minutes and hours. · Use vocabulary such as o’clock, a.m./p.m., morning, afternoon, noon and midnight. Children in year 4 are expected to be able to do all the above plus be confident with converting between analogue and digital times.
