Christmas Bazaar

posted 2 Jan 2016, 09:29 by Anna Rust

Last Friday was the school’s Christmas Bazaar, for which Cedars organised and ran a games room. Their team work skills and understanding of handling money were used well to ensure a good time was had by all.

On the front page of the newspaper we read, First News, was an article about whaling. As our topic is oceans and sea creatures, we decided to look at the article in detail. We researched about minke whales and then considered our own opinions of whaling. We also carefully thought about, and asked, questions to the Japanese Prime Minister (also known as Reuben) and a Whales Rights Activist (also known as Jayden). We may take our leaning further by writing persuasive letters on the subject.
