Living the life of the ancient Greeks

posted 30 Apr 2016, 12:42 by Anna Rust
Last Friday we experienced a little of Greek life, both in ancient times and present. Some of us wore bedsheets as togas and spent the afternoon getting use to the slightly exposed, uncomfortable nature of the attire in comparison to the clothes we are used to. Everyone showed courage to try some typical Greek foods such as olives, feta cheese and grapes. We also used digital maps to locate Greece and to make comparisons between the country and ours.

We have become very familiar with the Pandora's Box myth and have now planned (thanks to your support!) and started to write our own myths. Over the coming weeks we will move onto newspaper reports as our literacy genre and try to make some wings for Icarus in DT.
