Our Blue Abyss latest news

posted 26 Nov 2018, 11:51 by Anna Rust
Last week we experimented with using watercolours to create a seascape. The children explored mixing colours to create different shades and then had a go at using techniques to create wave effects. We also continued using atlases to identify seas and oceans and the creatures which live within them.

This week we are focussing on plastic pollution. The children have planned and will be writing stories linked to this. In maths we are learning about perimeter as well as practising the times tables. Our reading focus currently is understanding vocabulary in context. We are becoming more proficient at using thesauruses and dictionaries to aid our vocabulary.
