Sports Relief!

posted 21 Mar 2016, 00:24 by Anna Rust

On Friday we celebrated Sports Relief. In the morning we finished off our ‘training’ for the occasion by running a laps of a course set out around the playground and field. Along the way were challenges for children to get involved with to develop endurance and strength. In the afternoon we cheered on the six children from Cedars who ran the last half a mile of their ultra-running challenge and clapped with pride when they received their well-deserved medals. The rest of us then showed off our running endurance by completing a mile.

In literacy we have begun to read and solve riddles (or try to anyway!). I think it’s safe to say that the children could come up with far more imaginative answers than the adults! Here are a couple for you to puzzle over… (children know the answers!)

What gets wetter as it dries?

What do you have to break before you can use it?

Our next step is to write our own riddles which children will share with you at a later date.
