The Ancient Greeks continued...

What a creative few weeks we have had!
We have made pots out of clay and painted them, designed shields on large sheets of cardboard, made olive leaf crowns and started to make model Trojan horses.
In maths we have been busy measuring the lengths of objects and then adding and subtracting measurements. We then had fun investigating perimeter. We started off by attempting to measure the perimeter of the playground without using any equipment. The children thought of some very unique ways to complete this task! Some children counted strides, others counted body lengths. Next we used trundle wheels and meter sticks to calculate more accurate measurements.
In literacy we have pretended to be journalists and have written newspaper articles based on the Daedalus and Icarus myth. We are now learning about subordinating clauses.
Come into school on Friday to see your child's learning as it's open door!
