Plague Strikes !

Death and Pestilence were frequent visitors to Maples class in the first half of the summer term.  Maples learnt all about the Plague, which struck England in 1349 and caused devastation throughout London.  They learnt of some of the weird and wonderful "cures" for the plague as well as how it was caused.  The subject culminated in the class producing their own medieval journals with Pestilence personification work, and diary entries written as if they were someone living through the Plague at that time.  fortunately, everyone survived this outbreak in Maples, to return to class for the second half of the summer term.
