On 12 November 2014, Maples took part in the 2014 Shakespeare Schools Festival. They performed an abridged version of Much Ado About Nothing at Stantonbury Theatre Milton Keynes. They were amazing!

The whole class has embraced this project, working together as a team and learning ensemble methods to explore Shakespeare's words, stories, settings and characters.

The project has visibly improved the children's confidence, empathy and public speaking skills.

Many of the class felt challenged and out of their comfort zone by tackling the difficult language and having to do so whilst ballroom dancing and wearing a mask!

The sense of collaboration and excitement was wonderful on the night where they truly owned the production and performed with confidence and clarity and were hugely proud of their efforts, deservedly so. Well done Maples!
