This week Oaks have been very busy! On Monday we learnt all about Florence Nightingale, a hero from the past. The children created group fact sheets about her, wrote their own independent fact sheets about her and wrote diary entries from herself or one of the soldiers she helped. On Tuesday they used all this new knowledge to compare the Scutari Hospital she worked in, with one of our modern day hospitals. The classroom was divided in two and the children learnt through role play about how hospitals have changed. Keep an eye out for our pictures from this activity. On Wednesday as part of our science curriculum the children learnt all about animals and their super powers and to end our busy week, on Thursday, we went for a walk up to the woods and collected natural materials to make some Eco Warrior masks. We also filled our first bucket up with lots of positive messages about lunchtimes. Well done Oaks!
