The final week of this half term saw Oaks write their own book. As a class the children have created an information book which will be kept in the library. Every child wrote their own page on a seaside animal or creature, they researched their information, wrote a draft version and then used a programme called 2publish to type their information. They also added pictures and captions, once the class have added the contents page, blurb and glossary the book will be bound ready for the library. In maths Oaks continued to develop their knowledge of 3D shapes and made some fantastic models to help them count the number of edges on certain shapes. In art the children created their own sea paintings, using a Kandinsky style background they then added the shadows of their sea creatures. The class are now ready for a well earned week off as after half term they will be starting a brand new topic all about castles!
