As you will have seen this week has been even busier than usual. On Monday, Oaks all helped Mrs Chesse to bake over 500 cupcakes for the World Record Attempt for the longest line of cupcakes. This was a brilliant example for the children to see how mixtures change when they are heated, something they will be finding out more about in their science lessons. Tuesday was Remembrance Day and in preparation for our visit to the local war memorial, the children in Oaks all made a poppy and then wrote instructions about how they had made it. Throughout the week in maths, Oaks have been finding out how to use a hundred square and their knowledge of place value to add and take away 11 from any two digit number. On Friday all the children came in dressed as a hero or superhero for Children in Need. You can find out more about this event on our main latest news page.
