Oaks started this week with an extra assembly to introduce our school values. The children are now working hard towards these values with a particular focus on 'Respect' and 'Kindness' this half term. We are looking forward to developing our class tree showing how we have grown as a class. In maths this week we have been doing lots of work with money, we have 'gone to the shops' several times learning about how to find change and at the end of the week we looked at different ways of making set amounts. In our literacy lessons we have been learning how to read and write tongue twisters using alliteration and rhyme. In our science lessons we continued to look at animal habitats and classifying things into groups depending on whether they are alive, dead or if they have never been alive. In ICT we were able to draw pictures for our Isle of Struay map display and we created labels for them too. In PE we continued with our gymnastics lessons and we completed a fitness circuit! Another busy week for Oaks!
