In this final week of the first half of the Autumn term Oaks ended their Superheroes topic with a presentation to Mrs McBurnie. The children worked in small groups to design their own superhero or villain. They had to think about the accessories they might need, what super powers they would have and most importantly their name! The children then had to think about what their character might say and display this using a speech bubble. Once they had completed their design they had to present it to the rest of the class and Mrs McBurnie. All the children were able to explain their characters and had lots to say about their designs! In maths they learnt how to find more and less than a given number and in PE they continued to develop their accuracy in ball skills. As part of the literacy lessons this week they wrote about their favourite parts of the Superheroes topic and they also began to think about the next topic, Muck, Mess and Mixtures.
