Welcome back! This first week back after the half term break has flown past. Oaks have been getting stuck in to their new topic called Muck, Mess and Mixtures. On Monday afternoon the children were exploring different textures and thinking of lots of adjectives to describe them. They were putting their hands in a variety of different mixtures ranging from jelly and pasta to shaving foam, the least favourite was the chopped tomatoes, some fantastic faces were pulled whilst exploring this! Look out for our pictures of the afternoon. In maths this week the children have been finding 10 more and less than given numbers. In their literacy lessons Oaks have been learning how to use alliteration to make their own marvellous medicine, following on from our reading of George's Marvellous Medicine. This book has proved really popular and the children can't wait to finish it next week.
