Celebrating new life in school

posted 1 Jun 2016, 09:41 by Deputy Head
This half term has been a very busy one throughout the school. Acorns children spent the last two weeks of term helping to care for some ducklings who hatched in-front of them. The children got to hold the ducklings, watch them learning how to swim and observed their behaviours throughout the two weeks. The rest of the school also had opportunities to come and visit them and see how they changed over time. Oaks children were also busy looking after new life in the final two weeks of term. As part of their topic on Minibeasts they watched how caterpillars formed a cocoon and changed in to butterflies. On Friday they released the butterflies out on the school field. On Friday we also said goodbye and good luck to Mrs West who has now gone on maternity leave, we of course wish her all the best and look forward to seeing both her and her new baby soon!
