Children In Need

On Friday we decided to run the day in a new format to previous children in need events at the school. After having an assembly with Mrs Lowe explaining the purpose of Children in Need and sharing how it helps others, the children spent the morning making, baking and creating different things ready to sell to help raise money in the afternoon. The Acorns children baked biscuits, the Oaks children were busy making bead bracelets, Cedars baked and iced cakes and the Maples following on from their successful evening at the Shakespeare for Schools event the night before were busy creating sock puppets. The staff had prepared several other activities too and so in the afternoon the hall was set up ready for the event to begin. It was lovely to see the older children helping the younger children with their money and watching everyone enjoying the things that other children had spent the morning creating. In total we raised over £275! Well done everybody!
