Children in Need 2014

On Friday all the children and staff at the school helped raise awareness and money for children in need by donating money to come in to school dressed as their hero or as a superhero. The day started with a whole school assembly helping the children to understand to aim of the day and providing an opportunity for the staff superheroes to introduce themselves. After the assembly the children were split into their house groups and they worked their way around four different activities throughout the day. The children learned about what our emergency services do, how they help us and about how our money raised will help disadvantaged children throughout the UK. At the end of the day the children were keen to share things they had learned such as how to put somebody in the recovery position, how to identify dangers in the home and how the police try to solve crimes.

A total of £148.75 was raised for Children in Need.  Well done Bow Brickhill.
