Christmas Plays

posted 22 Dec 2014, 08:54 by Deputy Head
The last two weeks of term saw two different Christmas plays being shown by the children in the school. The first play was called 'Whoops a Daisy Angel' this was Acorns first ever play in school and they were fantastic. They all remembered the songs and knew when to say their lines! Some children even had dances and musical instruments to play during the performance. Everybody was very proud of them and it was brilliant to see so many parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents there to support them. Well done Acorns!

The second play to be performed was a joint effort from Oaks and Cedars. The play called 'Tinsel and Tea-Towels' was about two Ofsted inspectors who unexpectedly turned up at the school during their rehearsals of the nativity play. When we chose this play we didn't know we ourselves would have an Ofsted inspection the week before the final performance! The inspector who came to Bow Brickhill did come in and watch some of the rehearsals and enjoyed the acting from all the children. The children all worked really hard to learn their lines and know when to come in as there was a lot of movement with all children being on the stage at some point during the show! Well done Oaks and Cedars!

A special thank you to Mrs Lowe who taught the children in all three classes their songs and helped them to play instruments during some of the songs too.
