New term, new house challenges

posted 15 Jan 2017, 03:33 by Deputy Head
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have had a peaceful start to the New Year. The children have all come back rested and ready for the busy term ahead. This term we have set each house a challenge. All the children in school are split in one of four house teams, the children earn house points through good choices which are combined together to give them a weekly total as a house group. We have made some changes to the structure of the lunch hour and the children now have an additional opportunity to earn extra house points when they come into the hall. Each house sits together earning points for keeping their area tidy, helping each other and showing our school values. These points are added to the house totals at the end of each week. The house with the winning number of points at the end of the half term will be rewarded with an afternoon at the park. At the start of the next half term all scores are returned to zero and the competition starts again. Currently St George's are in the lead this half term, let's see if they can stay ahead for the next four weeks. Good luck!
