On 27th June, a team of 10 children from Cedars and Maples took part in a rounders competition against other local schools. They performance fantastically, winning 4 of their matches and drawing another. Their brilliant performance meant that they won the event and have qualified for the final competition against other schools in Milton Keynes next week.
This is what the children said about the event:
"Rounders was a great experience to have as we all had fun. We all enjoyed batting and fielding was especially fun. Even though it was a Year 5/6 competition, we entered some year 4s because the Y6s were at a residential. We came 1st place! This gets us through to the final and we will be competing against other schools."
