Attending a Church School
As a church school, Bow Brickhill CE Primary School has a distinctly Christian character. All we do is rooted in Christian values which affect the way everyone behaves and the way everyone is respected. This gives our school a special sense of community and leads to a nurturing and caring environment for all of our children.
Our School Prayer
This is our school
Let peace dwell here
Let the room be full of contentment
Let love abide here
Love of one another
Love of mankind
Love of life itself
And love of God
Amen
Our Christian Vision
Our vision, is that all members of our school community; grow through faith in God, or are inspired by faith to reach our full potential. Our hope is that we are the best that we can be, both now and in the future so that we make a responsible contribution to the world, showing love, patience and kindness to those around us.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13
Our core Christian values of Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, Courage, Honesty and Forgiveness provide the foundation for maximising academic and spiritual growth of every member of our school.
Charitable Works of the School
Our national charity is MacMillian Cancer Support.
In the autumn term we joined in with the ‘Big Coffee Morning’ event with people all over the UK. We welcomed parents, families and the wider community to our school to come together for a cuppa and a piece of cake.
We also held a bake sale after school, where pupils sold their delicious cakes, baked during the day. All donations were made to Macmillan.
Our global charity is The BananaBox Trust.
Throughout the year we are supporting this Christian charity through collections of educational resources such as stationery, books, old uniform and new or used trainers or football boots. These are then sent to the people of northern Malawi in Africa.
